Our Approach
The Sahel Child Project operates on the principles of inclusivity, community involvement, and sustainability. We work closely with local communities, governments, and international partners to identify needs, design relevant programs, and implement solutions that have a long-term impact. By engaging directly with the communities we serve, we ensure that our interventions are culturally appropriate and effectively address the unique challenges faced by children and families in the Sahel region.
Impact
Since its inception, the Sahel Child Project has reached thousands of children and families across Northern Nigeria, providing them with critical support in education, health, and protection. Our efforts have led to improved school attendance, better health outcomes, and strengthened community resilience. We are committed to expanding our reach and deepening our impact as we continue to work towards a brighter future for the children of the Sahel.
We currently have active case findings, IYCF, OTP programs, and WASH components in Bama (MCH OTP) LGA and Monguno (Water Board REB facility), while also implementing the Street2School education program in Damboa and a child protection program in Jere (Gongulon Lawanti). Additionally, we are conducting the distribution of hygiene and dignity kits in Bama, Monguno, and Jere LGAs.
